Produced the ENO/Young Vic season and produced opera debuts by directors Simon McBurney, Fiona Shaw, Daniel Kramer and Benedict Andrews. Commissioned Torsten Rasch for Punchdrunk’s The Duchess of Malfi.
Associate Director/Producer, Almeida Opera/Aldeburgh Music (1998-2007)
Ahead of its time for fifteen years Almeida Opera was the focal point for the development of new opera and music theatre in the UK. Composers Harrison Birtwistle, Giorgio Battistelli, Errolyn Wallen, Michael Nymn, Deirdre Gribbin, Thomas Adès, David Bruce, Emily Hall, Simon Holt, Richard Ayres, Gerald Barry all came through its doors.
